ASI is a group with a sense for social wellbeing. Since its inception, ASI
has always carried out its social responsibilities towards both its workers
and society at large. It strives for the upliftment of its employees and
their safety. The group has taken various steps that indicate its commitment
for the welfare of its workers and society.
1. Safety in the workplace
ASI gives the highest priority to safety at workplace in the mines and
during other manufacturing processes. It has an excellent safety record over
the six decades. It has also won six national awards besides other numerous
awards for safety and ecology.
2. Concern for ecological balance
At ASI, we are deeply concerned about ecological balance. Our wastelands in
the mines are converted to lush pockets of greenery with thousands of trees
and plants being planted and nurtured on these lands. We have created
beautiful parks and temples on these tastefully developed wastelands. All
these activities are looked after and promoted by ASI Plantation Limited, a
group company of ASI.
3. Residential colonies for workers
ASI provides residential colonies for its workers and free education for
the children of its employee. The group runs Rukmani Devi - Ramkumar Jatia
Balika Mahavidyalaya Girls College of Arts at Ramganjmandi to promote girl's
education in rural area.
4. Medical Centre
ASI equally shares social responsibility towards health & medical care
and runs Kotah Stone Mariam Hospital at Ramganjmandi. It is managed by a
team of qualified doctors who are committed towards the well being of
workers.
